Graphite
2b (can be a school Dixon Ticonderoga…but must be 2b)
9b (woodless solid stick), white plastic eraser, Mars Staedtler (plastic), also thin white plastic eraser in a pen style holder- thinest diameter eraser you can find.
Charcoal
One or two sticks Vine charcoal, a compressed charcoal stick or pencil, kneaded eraser, smudge tool (fingers or stump), spray fix (hair spray also works), best product- Krylon Workable Fixative Spray
Strappo…. Abstract mark making
(1 or 2) 5×7 glass Plate (double pane window glass) with edges seamed, arcylic paint (black, white, one or two other colors, bushes, gesso, scrafitto tool (can be a popsicle stick).
Caran d’ache (water soluble wax color stick)
One stick each of black, white, ochre/umbers/red
Matte medium
Sfumato
Wax Candle, colored pencils, compressed charcoal, graphite
Other materials/papers
-Smooth bristol pad (9×12 pad, or larger) or smooth, white cardstock 8×10 to 9×12
-Bristol Velum or charcoal paper (9×12 or larger) 2-5 sheets…or any paper with a slight tooth.
-Q tips, paper towels
-2” house painter’s brush
-Green or blue painter’s masking tape
-Acrylic or oil paint brush 1/4” or 1/2 “ or 3/4”
