April 8th to 29th, 2025

Feldenkrais classes help people reduce or even eliminate chronic aches and pains, whether in the shoulder, knee, hip or back.  Through a series of easy to follow movement patterns, this neuromuscular approach helps your body learn new ways to move. At the end of each class you will feel your posture, flexibility and comfort in walking greatly improved. Every time you take a class the series of movements will be different, presenting a new and unique movement puzzle for your brain to solve. This is not an exercise class, so just wear comfortable clothing you can move in.

Through the movements of Tai Chi and relaxed breathing you will cultivate, store, and circulate your internal energy. The movements are non-impact, smooth, and practiced very slowly at first. Western research has shown improvements in heart, bone, and muscle strength, as well as large reductions in the effects of stress, and an improvement in overall balance, with regular practice. This is the 23rd continuous year of Tai Chi classes through the Five Town Adult Education program!
