Calling all sailing enthusiasts of any age to band together to form the Maine Model Yacht Club and to join in on a model yacht building workshop. It's suggested participants purchase a US 12 or CR-914 model yacht kit if you prefer a traditional-style build, or a Dragonforce 65 or a Dragonflite 95 model yacht kit for a quicker modern-style build. This workshop is the organization of a club and a friendly networking opportunity to share the joy and community around model yacht building and sailing, more than an instructor-led course. Come enjoy building and conversing alongside other enthusiasts and tinkerers! Participants are also welcome to bring in old model yachts, other remote control boats, airplanes, drones, helicopters, or any type of models to compare, contrast, and talk shop. The Maine Model Yacht Club will host regattas and sailing/flying get-togethers throughout the warmer months. Please, shoot over questions to email@example.com about different model yachts to purchase before the workshop or just to connect. The suggested model yachts with remote control and receiver range from $220- $750.
